2008 Application

Dear Women’s League Golfer:

As the new President of our Women’s League, I am excited for what the new season has in store for us. First, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Sue Furbish, our past president, for all of her hard work and commitment to our league. 

The 2007 season was a success and with the help of Eric DeStefano, the Golf Professional at Twin Hills, and all our members, our goal is to make the 2008 season even better.

Based on conversations with league members, other women’s league presidents in our area, and my past participation in our league, I will be implementing a few new changes this year that I hope will keep our league fresh as well as promoting women’s golf.  One of the major changes is the return of the Club Championship.

As always, your input, suggestions, and comments are welcome. Communication, especially email, is vital so please make sure to update all your information.

Our first week of league will be Wednesday, April 16th, 2008. As with previous years, our weekly tee times will be from: 9:30am – 4:30pm and after 5:30pm.

In order to reserve your place in the league, you must complete the application at the bottom of this letter and enclose a check in the sum of $100.00. I must receive both the application and the league fee no later than March 26th, 2008. Our league is capped at 60 members and we had a waiting list last year so please do not delay. If I do not receive your entry by March 26th, your place will be offered to the next person on our waiting list. The league fee will be used to cover our GHIN dues, weekly cash prizes, the GHIN tournament and our year end banquet, and other associated expenses.

Our season kick off meeting will be Wednesday, March 26th at 6:30 pm at Twin Hills Country Club. Light refreshments will be provided and we will be discussing golf rules of play, the Club Championship, changes to our season as well as answering any questions. This meeting is an important start to our season so please try to attend.
